PosterSpy, the creative platform for poster artists

Launched back in 2013, PosterSpy is a home for all creators of Alternative Film Posters. Illustrators, and designers, professional, and amateur, all welcome to upload their own take on Hollywood classics, and new releases, plus Jack, the owner, launches a Creative Brief on a regular basis. Often these competitions are judged by the film directors, producers, and even actors themselves. Worth a punt just in case you’re lucky enough to win the prize money, but more than that, I think its a great domain for creatives who love a little side project [like me], to upload their creations.

Apparently Posterspy is home to over 12,000 posters and is regular hangout for over 2,000 artists around the world. That quite a community. Head over and take a look, if like me, you’re a poster junkie. Better still enter one of the creative briefs, or just upload a few of your own creations.

Here are a couple of posters I uploaded recently. I have a mild obsession with the Universal horror movies of the 1930’s, especially Mr & Mrs Monster, as directed by James Whale, way ahead of his time, a great director, and master of creating atmospheric, and scenic landscapes, full of great characters and camera angles.
